::::Blushes:::::
I only wanted to say one more thing about America. As my man Zo puts
it....
"The reason why America is so great is not that we are better than
anyone else....
It is that we *ARE* everyone else......"

A great reply. Too late for the 4th, but later events
will be scheduled:
http://www.oath-keepers.org
I cannot comment on the halachic ramifications of this
(the "oath") but I will note that there are Jewish persons
eligible to participate in OK events.
Moreover, a basic principle of Torah is hakorat hatov,
gratitude. The Bill of Rights is one reason we in the
USA should be grateful. |

Thank you btw for the emails on the books of the Tanakh...I wasn't
aware
that books like Judith even existed... I have yet to read your last
email
note from a streetcop... Will get to that tomorrow. Thanks again

I think the OP meant this http://oathkeepers.org/oath/
They seem to be what I consider scary, very RW folks.

I discussed this website and these folks with people in another group.
One fellow defended the idea and said that anyone who obeys an
unconstitutional law should be tried for treason and executed. For
those non-Americans here, treason is the only crime actually defined
in the Constitution. Which means someone was advocating an
unconstitutional law to ensure people obey the Constitution.
I find that scary on many levels.
