My wife is, 3-4x a week, we get packages in the mail, the house is
completely filled with manga, usually weeks before it ever comes out for
sale. It's not a matter of getting free stuff, you rarely have a choice
in what you get and you're expected to read it, even if you hate the
genre, and give it an honest review. That's why you're getting it in
the first place. I guess it's a mixed blessing, you occasionally get
things you want, although since you never know, you've usually
pre-ordered it anyhow and get two copies, and a lot of the time you have
to slog through real garbage whether you want to or not. |

That's pretty cool. Where do her reviews appear?
I know all about getting stuff you don't want. I used to own a record/
CD store, and we were constantly getting promo "play copies" of albums
the record companies wanted us to play in the store. Lots of
incredibly bad music has come out over the years. Still, it was nice
when you discovered something great you might never have heard
otherwise. I'm sure your wife gets the odd item like that. And you can
often warm up to genres you might not have thought you had any
interest in.
