Nurse asked me if I had ever had Versed before. I said "yeah" and she
said "ok, night" and then my wife was talking to me. Having now been on
the "delivery" end (not me, I'm the guy taking the x-rays in specails), I
think you should all know that you are "awake" but "unaware". I've heard
some amusing stuff.

I've heard it's basically an amnesia drug. You're drowsy, but still
awake and aware, but you have no memory of anything that occurred during
the "trip".

I had a drug called propofol for my 1st colonoscopy earlier this year. DH
had the same for his most recent procedure and says it beats Versed hands
down. One second you are awake and talking to the people in the room, then a
slight tingly feeling, then the next second you are awake and alert and in
recovery. No drowsiness, no twilight sleep, nothing. Wish they would license
that for home use!

That's how I describe Versed.

I think that was one of Michael Jackson's drugs of choice wasn't it?

Oh, you mean the one he used during the trials and bankruptcies, to
forget anything bad was happening to him? ;)

Derek Janssen (always wondered how he did that)

And the fact that it's referred to in Jackson-death press as "Milk of
amnesia" only keeps flashing back the old joke:

<Drugstore>
"I need a laxative, gimme that Philips Milk of Amnesia"
"You mean 'Magnesia'."
"What's the difference?"
"Well, with 'amnesia', you don't know where you're going..."
