adrenaline-charged miniseries begins dramatically as the first female
U.S. president is shot dead by a sniper during her Veterans Day
speech. Three months later, a wounded man is found tattered in a
forest with no memory of his identity. The only clue is a tattoo on
his neck -- “XIII.” Could his lightning-fast reflexes and killer
instincts betray him as the presidential assassin that the U.S. is
desperately searching for? Submerged in a far-reaching conspiracy,
which threatens to overthrow the entire government, XIII’s identity
becomes the key to unraveling a complex and dangerous secret that will
shock and excite. From the first bullet, this gripping action-thriller
will leave audiences gasping for more. Ted Atherton (“Max Payne”),
John Bourgeois (“Burn Up”), Greg Bryk (“ReGenesis”), Lucinda Davis
(“Wargames: The Dead Code”), and Caterina Murino (“Casino Royale”)
also star. “XIII” is produced by Prodigy Pictures and Cipango.

I can only imagine how much money Trump is funneling into NBC to keep
the show alive.

MARCH 12???!!  That's pretty fucking early for a finale, regardless
whether it's a season or series finale!!!  I think that is the earliest
finale scheduled that I've EVER seen.

WTF?????!!!!

Well, clearly, you weren't watching TV in the 1970s. Seasons
routinely ended in March when programs ran their schedule straight
through with virtually no reruns or pre-emptions for the holidays.

As for this season of "ER," there's several reasons for early out.
First of all, they're only doing 20 episodes instead of 22. They also
are scheduling 5 episodes for December/January -- two months were many
series only air a few new ones between the traditional November and
February sweeps. They're also ending up a two-hour block on March 12,
which count as two episodes. So, if they would have paced their
episodes a bit more AND aired the two additional episodes they
normally would have aired AND gone into reruns for most of March and
April (as many series do)....boom....you're into May just like every
other year.

I watched one episode, realized how utterly stupid the whole premise was and
never watched it again. (And I only watched that episode because I was
bored out of my skull and sick.) Didn't they cancel this piece of shit
twice already?

Before the season began, NBC stated that they would bacsically air ER
uninterrupted for its final season, then try to launch a new program in the
timeslot before the seson was over. Since then, NBC went to ER and tried to
beg for more episodes (they must have been turned down by the producers
since the episode count isn't up to 24 or 26, so NBC only gets *one* extra
episode), but the plan has never changed away from keeping ER firstrun,
straight through.
