Okay, here's the REST of the story! But first..........

Briefly back to day 2 at Epcot. While watching the pre-show for
"Honey, I Shrunk the Audience", I noticed a spelling error on the
screen! There is a part where phrases are scolling left and right
across the screen. We distinctly noticed one that said "Ash questions"
and it was clearly supposed to say "Ask questions". Has anyone else
seen this? Something to look out for next time you go!

Ok, now day 3. Monday, July 20. The one thing Tyler REALLY want to do
besides the Hall of Presidents was to go to Blizzard Beach. Well,
again the dang curtains kept the room too dark and we slept through
the alarm! We got dressed, stepped outside and the ground was wet, the
sky was dark and cloudy, the temperature cool and the wind blowing a
bit! My wife and I looked at each other with that look and Tyler said
"What? We're going to get wet anyway!" The little imp was right! We
decided to go and hope the weather cleared up, or at least get some
slides and swimming in before the thunder and lightning! We got to BB
about 9:30am and parked in the 2nd row! Not a far walk at all, the
park was empty (relatively speaking!). It started to rain while we
were walking in and we got cold just from the rainwater and breeze.

A quick trip up to Teamboat Springs and a short wait for another large
group to come up. We were only 3 of us and the CM's said we needed 4-6
to ride. Kinda like getting paired up at a golf course to make a
foursome. Then, a lazy river ride over to Runoff Rapids for a few
lides down the single and double rider tubes. I wanted to try Summit
Plummet but of course neither Randi or Tyler wanted to go on. They
went over to the Ski Patrol Training Camp area whle I waited for my
turn down SP. This would be my longest wait of the day...maybe 20
minutes! While waiting in line the rain stopped, wind picked up (or I
felt it more because I was higher up. Skin dried faster than my suit
and the chaffing started. I hate that feeling! Finally my turn! I
was down before I knew it! The slide was not scary. Fast-yes! My
butt and back were both very sore though when I got up. I don't know
why. The slide was smooth, no sliding over seams where sections or
tuve were joined together.

While up top waiting, you can see the whole park. It's beautiful! I
saw 3 rides for us top try next. Downhill Double Dippers, Snow
Stormers and Toboggan Racers. I told Ty we had to try all three.
Again, he was skeptical and made me promise to buy him a pin if he
found out I was lying when I PROMISED him they wouldn't be scarry!
Boy, a dad's intuition better be right! We rode the Toboggan Racers
first, then the other two. Then, leaving my wife at the bottom, we
rode the Toboggon Racers AT LEAST 6-8 more times before we decided we
better find mom! Those hills DO NOT get easier to climb after each
attempt!AND each time, I had to give him a larger head start than the
time before just so he could beat me! Now, it was about 1pm and we
were hungary. Off to Lottawatta Lodge for lunch. The rain had stopped
and blue sky was seen off in the distance! By the end of lunch, the
sun was starting to come out and it was starting to warm up.

A ride around the lazy river and Ty was up for more Toboggon Raceing!
Of course I had to go with him as mom just wanted a nap by the wave
pool (so did I but not today!) After another dozen races (at least!),
my elad feeling legs could not climb another step! Spent about half
an hour in the wave pool then back to the resort for a shower, change
of clothes and a short nap. Off to Downtown Disney in search of
dinner. We ended up at Cookes of Dublin and had an order of Fish and
Chips and Scallops and Chips. They were both very good and
reasonablly priced. Tables in Wonderland helped out again!

We then went to the Lego store. My twins 14th birthday is today (sat)
and we really didn't know what to get them. No one has actually asked
for the Mindstorm NXT. I would get that for them if they would share.
Being almost 14, they still argue and get on each others nerves over
little things. It would be taken over by one or the other and I
wasn't going to have that happen. I wish they WOULD show some
interest in it as I want it! Well, we saw a couple of things that
were age approriate without being to easy or horrendously expensive.
We decided to sleep on it, talk it over and see if we could come up
with some other ideas before we left. After half and hour there, we
left to go back to the resort and and get to bed early. My wife and I
were SORE (my legs STILL hurt!)

Thought I was going to finish today, but this is long, the next day is
just as long! and I'm tired! More tomorrow... along with a link for
photos.

You know, just because you have blackout drapes it doesn't mean you
can't leave them open an inch or 2 to get daylight (although with the
weather that day it was a moot point). I just mean the drapes have
more than 2 settings (wide open or closed shut). The trouble with the
values & moderates is you have people walking past your window. But,
with Tyler sharing your bedroom any "personal" activities between his
parents would be discrete & not really seen by passersby <g>.

I personally like my drapes left wide open - whether it's a hotel or
cruise ship cabin. Unless of course, it's a BCV room with a light
over the balcony - I don't mind moonlight or starlight but I don't
want a lightbulb shining in!

You really need to have a wake-up call!! If you want to be almost
assured of getting Mickey in the morning (or whenever you want to get
up), punch in a time not on the hour or half hour. For example, if
you want to get up at 6:30 a.m., punch in 6:27.

Sue, what's scary about that is that you already made it known that you
sleep naked. ;-)

I did??? Oh well, I can't imagine anyone NOT sleeping that way. I

just don't see the point in clothes for sleeping. But, in any event
peeping toms can't see anything inside a darkened room (lights & tv
off) and anyone trying to look in deserves to be scared ;-)

As for wakeup calls - more & more hotels are switching to radios that
I cannot figure out. The Hilton brands are like this - I can't set
the time, never mind get an alarm to come on. So, I get a telephone
wakeup call - it's automated anyway, so there's no chance of human
error of them forgetting to call.

A dreary day is a great choice for the water parks. For some reason,
people just don't want to be there unless its bright and sunny. It can
be chilly when you get out of the water, but since the waits are
shorter, you spend less time in the air. Of course if there is any
lightning, they will close the park, so a "stormy" day is not a good choice.

I've heard they are requiring at least four guests per raft in order to
balance it, but they let two of us (my granddaughter and me) ride. The
CM said to just make sure we stayed opposite each other for balance. Of
course the fact that she weighed less than 25% of me, I don't think that
really mattered.

So your suit was making fun of you? Wink OK, I won't "chaff" you any
more for using "chaff" instead of "chafe" ;-)

I do hate the way the lining in most men's swim trunks are made. It's
like wearing a cheese grater in your shorts! Of course Speedo's won't
chafe, Though I know I'd get plenty of "chaffing" for wearing one. If
the Speedo is not an option and you prefer trunks, here's a tip: Get
some tight fitting boxer briefs made with Spandex and wear them under
your suit. That generally solves the chafing problem. :-)

It's just friction, I guess. I don't remember that from Summit Plummet,
but our local crappy amusement/water park has a jumbo slide and it's so
rough, it can actually remove a few layers of skin.

My problem is that I can't sleep well if there's light in the room. We
have a light-blocking shade on our bedroom window and when I travel, I
always close the drapes tightly. I think the only time we have ever
slept with the curtains open is when we stayed in The Contemporary Tower
with a MK view. Katie wanted to be able to watch the castle all night long.

Yes, and this is one of the biggest reasons I avoid them! I hate having
people walking by the window all the time. I prefer the deluxe resorts
with a (mostly) private balcony.

I don't care what I'm doing, I don't want the window open so that
passersby can look in.

OMG! The best sleep I've ever had in my life was on our RCCL cruise
last year. The bed was firm, the ship had that gentle rocking/movement
feeling to it, and there were two sets of drapes - one for the window,
and one that separated the bedroom area from the living room area to
make it totally blacked-out from any light or even noise in the hall.
Ironically, I was up by 7:00am each day without an alarm or seeing sunlight.

If there is any possiblity of anyone seeing in, I prefer the drapes
closed if not in publicly appropriate dress (or behaiviour!). Yeah,
those "activities" were null and void on this trip!

I DO like the moonlight and starlight. I wish there were a way we

could ban all those orange security lights. When hurricane Wilma came
through a few years ago and knowed out our power, I took the kids
outside the first night so they could see all the stars in the sky! It
was wonderful and they couldn't believe it! I told them about light
polution.

Didn't even think of it! I was so tired and Tyler set the alarm.
Knowing me (and I've DONE this before!) I would have set it for the pm
time instead of am time!

I bring my OWN alarm clock that's easy enough for me to set. Of course

last Friday as we were going to WDW, I had forgotten to reset it from
Central time but I do know how to do it.And what's more, I trust it.

I always thought 'chaff' was the stuff left over after you got the wheat
kernels out. Like the radio ads for the breakfast cereal Raw Bits- made of
oat hulls and wheat chaff. Gives you the strength to get up and do what
needs to be done.

That's intentional. Dad and kids get a water slide, mom gets her butt
exfoliated, better than at the spa. And no cucumber sunglasses either.

That's the noun form - the verb form means to tease. :-)
