There was a movie. Maybe I was drunk or half asleep. These three guys
got out of prison and the hero, who needed a specific hair gel, wanted
to get back to his family of three girls.
Their mother had told the girls that their father had been run over by
a train. She had by then married some local official who had learned to
box while the hero only knew how to brawl.
She arrranged for the old homestead to be flooded. What's the name of
the movie. I hadn't expect art from an American movie, but I think I'm
awake now. Anybody know?

Rather, based on what the Coens have heard about The Odyssey. |

It's good enough for me, I've seen a few of the Coens and I remember
them. I even went and bought Fargo as a DVD and I'm a bit of a dull man
as far as movies go. Thanks for responding - it ment a lot to me. Now I
can show my wife.

Did you know that I used to get Hawkwind sweep the stairs when I didn't
know who they were and just thought they were hanging around the
office?

Sorry, I don't know. I remember a TV movie in which a homestead was
about to be flooded by torrential rains, & the patriarch--or maybe it
was the matriarch--decided to send his children & grandchildren away
but himself stay put. He lit candles, sat in the old rocker & waited
for the rains. And The Rains Came. |
