I want to build a motorcycle. I was thinking of using a Honda Shadow
front end as I am told they are the same as many Harley Davidsons and
are available cheap. My question is, do I need to build a frame jig or
is getting a frame built to drawings more cost effective?
Also, is there a reason Japanese motorcycles all have that lip on the
bottom and Harley fat bobs don't? |

Buy a Drag fat book and order one....they make tons of them every day.

If you want to build a motorcycle (as you say you do) then building a frame
jig is the best way, because if you get your frame built to order, YOU
didn't build the thing, did you?

You can use any front end you wish. All it takes is a will and a
welder!

Harley chooses not to employ the "Spot-Weld a Hideous External Seam"
method of sealing up gas tanks.
